Happy “NATIONAL SAY SOMETHING NICE DAY”!
Today is June 1st and it not only means it’s the start of a typically fun month when we finally see more sunshine and warm weather. But it is also National Say Something Nice Day.
I like this one!
This unofficial holiday originated in Charleston, South Carolina to help counteract the problems with increasing bullying and lack of politeness that dominates the world these days.
It’s a great opportunity to…
-
Compliment a fellow mom or dad
-
Thank someone who helps you today
-
Tell a co-worker you like their smile
-
Let your child’s teacher, or school bus driver know they do an awesome job
-
Encourage your kids to say something nice to a friend
-
Just be KIND to each other
The kindness may set off a chain reaction. All it takes is for someone to start it. So go, say something nice to someone now!
And hopefully the practice of “saying something nice” today will continue to all tomorrows.
