More than any other year in my lifetime, I am so happy to begin a brand new shiny year! I know I am not aloneā¦ everyone is relieved to put 2020 behind us. It was such a crappy year filled with:
- Worry
- Uncertainty
- Homeschooling
- Heartache
- Isolation
- Fear
- And sometimes way too much togetherness!
I know that ‘ringing in a new year’ doesn’t mean life will go back to normal. But, hopefully the shitty parts of last year will slowly begin to go in a better direction. At least I am hopeful they will.
My wishes?
That the after-holiday surge in Covid cases slows down. I wish that both mask-wearing, and staying-home; become the new ‘cool thing to do’. I pray families stay whole. I hope no more businesses have to close. I pray families can afford to pay for food to feed their families. I hope kids in remote learning don’t fall so far behind so much that it affects the rest of their schooling. And I pray that no one else feels the heartbreak of losing a family member to Covid.
From my family to yours:
- Stay hopeful.
- Stay healthy.
- Stay together.
- Stay positive.
- Stay sane.
- Stay connected.
- Stay happy.
Happy 2021.
Remember the most important rule:
NEVER TALK ABOUT 2020!
